You Make Me Brave | By KenetrA Saintilaire

There are times in my life where I have ventured off into places, some exciting and some not so exciting.

I am the queen of adventure, but this NEW adventure has challenged my heart. This new adventure is not causing me to tread through a place to free others, but it is a place where I am learning to free myself of how I have loved. I had been challenged beyond what I could think, which has caused me to be BRAVE.

My heart has been tucked away for a long time in a place where God Himself could only reach it.

I went through a terrible relationship for 10 years. It bruised my heart in a way where no one could see it, but I could feel it. I closed off that part of my heart like the beast did on the Disney movie, “Beauty and The Beast.”

However, Jesus and I had sweet undeniable moments during the time of healing. The healing part is not easy, because it actually hurts to go back to revisit those places or people in your mind that have hurt you and have caused you grief. It is a lot of work, but the surrendering is where I learned to be brave

I learned to breathe, to exhale in moments where it seemed to be impossible. Bravery does not come at the end of the story but actually it comes during the process.

Bravery shows up and asks, “Will You?”

Your response to this will direct the next step.

God gives you the opportunity to say yes to healing or not. He is gentle, and He never pushes you. Just know that you can trust him. You can trust that he will soothe your wounds that no human can and accept the brokenness you have to make a beautiful masterpiece.

Be brave and say yes! Tell Him you are willing to revisit the awkward, hurtful, and insecure places. Know that this is not a one-time thing, neither is there a magic wand. You have to put in work, and it will go deeper each time. As you go deeper, this helps you to stay close to Jesus. He gets in the trenches, digs out the core of that hurt and replaces it with His love and redemption.

Be brave enough to let Jesus LOVE you. No human can love you like this unless they have experienced it themselves. His love helps you to see the reflection of who you are to HIM and in HIM!

Be brave enough to say “I will” to Jesus.

Be enough to say to yourself “I can and will be healed.”

Be brave enough to walk away from your past to pursue His will for your life!

Just be Brave!

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)
